Statement

Amsterdam, December 14, 2012

Dear reader,

We regret to inform you that the editorial team of Aerlines Magazine has decided to discontinue the publication of our Journal as of 2013. Hence, we do not accept papers for publication anymore nor will be publishing new articles.

After some 18 years of publishing, and several milestone evolutions in de Aerlines concept, we are really sad that we had to take this decision. The main reason behind this decision is twofold:
1. We were confronted with a structural lack of funds. It seems there are no companies or institutions anymore willing to sponsor our concept;
2. The magazine has always been managed by dedicated volunteers, but the number of skilled and experienced people willing and able to dedicate sufficient time to our concept has been reduced over time.

So, we were confronted with the choice to lessen our effort for a quality quarterly or to stop altogether. As the first wasn’t an option for us, we decided to stop.

Our concept (and website) will stay available and we are currently considering to possibly move it forward into another direction – if you have any suggestions, please let us know!

But for now, we thank you for your readership and perhaps we will invite you another time for another project.
