Guidelines for Authors

Guidelines for Authors

Would you like your work to be published in Aerlines magazine? Excellent! Before you consider submitting an article, please note the guideline for authors below. You can submit your article to: info@aerlines.nl. If you are in doubt or having questions about these guidelines, please do not hesitate to contact us!

We have compiled a “sample article” which can be downloaded here. This file contains practical guidelines that may be helpful to finish your paper.

Summary:

  • Ensure your article is relevant and ‘accessible’. Explicitly put your research question in the introduction paragraph; the concluding paragraph should contain an answer to this question and not just a summary of your paper.
  • Keep focused on outcomes and practical implications. Articles should not contain more than 20 – 25% on research methodology.
  • Aerlines Magazine wants to stay out of the “copy-paste tendency” on the internet. Do not offer us your paper if it has been published elsewhere already or if you intend to offer it for publication in another magazine in the future.
  • Please do not exceed the following limits with regard to maximum amount of words per article (including words used in tables):
    • 1 page article (e.g. book review, column): maximum 660 words.
    • 2 page article: maximum 1,400 words.
    • 3 page article: maximum 2,250 words.
    • 4 page article: maximum 3,200 words.
  • Always submit pictures, tables and graphs seperately to the editor. Our lay-out process requires these figures to be submitted seperately.
  • Add minimum three and maximum fifteen references to your article
