Suvarnabhumi_AirportBangkok’s new Suvarnabhumi Airport has been mired by problems since its opening, including more than 100 cracks on taxiways and runways, corruption claims, inadequate toilets and facilities, and complaints about hygiene standards. Now the question arises whether Suvarnabhumi – assisted by the old Don Muang Airport – is the long awaited answer to the insatiable aviation needs of Bangkok, writes Hubert Croes.
